UCLA keeps rolling along getting ready for Ducks
The mood out at practice is surprisingly up coming off that tough loss to Arizona State. If nothing else you have to admire this team's resilience. On the defensive side of the ball, they are getting their health back. Only two starters look to be out of action for the Oregon game.
Coach Karl Dorrell appeared quite upbeat after practice.
Dorrell: "Well we're moving right along. We had a good practice and I like what we're doing. I like how we are getting this extra time to get ourselves to play better, particularly with the new guys in the rolls they are playing.
"They are comfortable with the offense and defense so it has been a good week. So we will be really excited to play next week. We have one more practice tomorrow then we will give them a couple of days to kind of get away from it a little bit and come back on Sunday with some meeting and get ready to go out and have a great next week.
Will you watch Oregon tomorrow night or will you just wait for the tape?
Dorrell: "I think I will (laughs). We're starting our preparation and that's important getting an extra week to prepare and get ourselves playing better and also to put together a great plan for them.
"We'll get a chance to see it. They're a good team as you know and we're excited by our challenge.
What can you tell us about Oregon?
Dorrell: "Offensively they are pretty dynamic. They have a great quarterback (Dennis Dixon) that has good feet and makes plays with his feet and with his arm. They have one of the best runners, if not the best runner in conference and they have been very productive. They have a good group of receivers that make you pay attention to them so they are pretty difficult to defend.
