FSU defense doesn't fear the Turtle

The Maryland offense spent last week shredding the Boston College Eagles. They gouged them with the running game and scorched them with the passing game to the tune of 472 total yards. The Terrapins entered Saturday's game against Florida State brimming with confidence after tearing up a top-10 team.

The Seminoles, however, did not fear the turtle.

Florida State held Maryland to one touchdown and three field goals and sacked Terrapin quarterbacks five times in FSU's 24-16 win.

"We're just doing our job," sophomore corner Patrick Robinson said. "We're doing what we're coached to do. When we do that, we make plays and help the team win."

Robinson did his part, intercepting Terps quarterback Chris Turner in the first quarter for his sixth pick in seven games. Robinson's six interceptions tie 13 other Seminoles for seventh-best on the single season list. Tay Cody was the last Seminole to pick six in 2000.
