Prospects play under the lights

The Wilmington Area Greyhounds (12-1) beat Harbor Creek (12-1) by a score of 18-6, to nail down its second consecutive District 10 Class AA championship at Erie's Veterans Memorial Stadium. It is the school's eighth district title. After being contained to a mere 17 yards in the first half, Chris Burns provided a touchdown in each of the final quarters.

Burns, a Pitt commit, rushed for 72 yards on 19 carries. He scored on runs of 6 and 24 yards. The 12-1 Greyhounds advance to the quarterfinals of the PIAA AA playoffs this coming weekend. Wilmington will face Bishop McCort (12-1), which earned a District 5/6 title with a 28-21 overtime win over Central Cambria last night at Mansion Park in Altoona.
