Grading the Bulldogs
The Georgia Bulldogs closed out the 2007 regular season Saturday with a 31-17 win over Arch-Rivals Georgia Tech to finish with a record of 10-2. While no one facet of the Bulldogs' performance was without flaw, and the Yellow Jackets were able to have some success, in the end Mark Richt was able to put his Dawg pieces together and remain undefeated against the Jackets is seven contests. Rushing Offense (B+)
Although Georgia Tech was able to corral Knowshon Moreno, the Yellow Jackets didn't have an answer for Thomas Brown.
Brown carried the football 17 times for 139 yards and scored the touchdown that helped put the game out of reach with a 32-yard run at the 11:07 mark in the fourth quarter.
Even Matthew Stafford got into the act.
The sophomore quarterback could not have been more wide open during his 31-yard run that put the Bulldogs up 10-7.
It was a thing of beauty.
While in the shotgun, Stafford faked a handoff to Moreno, the entire Tech defense following, allowing Stafford to scoot into the end zone untouched.
