Hibbert focused on season, not recruiting

Hyattsville (MD) DeMatha High School is known as a basketball powerhouse around the nation. Several Division I players and future NBA talents have walked its hallowed halls while donning the blue and white. Players such as John Austin, Keith Bogans, Adrian Branch, Kenny Carr, Sid Catlett, Mamadi Diene, Adrian Dantley, Danny Ferry, Joseph Forte, Jerrod Mustaf and Bernard Williams all played for the Stags.

Class of 2009 shooting Naji Hibbert looks to be the next big time player to come from DeMatha. The 6-foot-5, 191-pound four-star prospect is ranked No. 54 in the Rivals 2009 Top 100 and is the tenth-ranked shooting guard in the nation.

Through DeMatha's first three games, which is a 3-0 start, Hibbert has started off on a tear. He is averaging 16 points, 12 rebounds and five steals per game.

Hibbert has scholarship offers from Texas A&M, Syracuse, Miami (FL), Maryland, Clemson and Xavier.
