Cross has an early top five

A prospect that made a move last summer to a different school allowed him to play in the spotlight this past season instead of under another top recruit as his position. Izaan Cross moved to Flowery Branch from Buford and he made a name for himself there this year. Many schools are showing early interest in this defensive lineman and he names four favorites early on.

"I am getting a lot of letters from schools, but I have not been offered yet," said Cross. "Clemson, Duke, Florida and Georgia send me the most mail probably, but I get a lot."

The 6-foot-4, 247-pound defensive lineman was invited to numerous games this fall, but he was not able to attend any of them.

"LSU, Georgia, Duke and some others send me invites, but I just could not make it to any of them. I watched some games on t.v., but I did not go to any games. I hope to next year."

Cross is only a junior and he has plenty of time to make his decision, but he currently lists five schools that he has high interest in.

"Clemson, Georgia, Florida, Georgia Tech and Southern Cal are the main schools I like the most right now. I have a lot of interest in those and I hope all of them offer me."
