Nwachukwu's 'Road is Good'
Recruiting is much the same as following any high school age students, there are two paths to go down and only one is desired. In the case of Allen, Texas athlete Uzoma Nwachukwu his road was laid out before him the day he was born. That's because his parents made sure the path was something he could never leave, because it's his name.
"Uzoma (ew-zama) means 'the road is good'. I tell people all the time it means nothing but good things for me in the future," Nwachukwu said.
For the 6-foot, 180-pound receiver the road has him headed to Norman, Okla. this weekend as he begins his tour of junior days which includes upcoming trips to Texas A&M and Houston.
However, recruiting is nothing new to the Allen program and after watching his friend Dan Buckner go through it last year has given Nwachukwu a leg up in how to deal with all the mail that is starting to come his way.
