Pratt: No leader after UT visit
Add the Texas Longhorns to the growing list of schools that are pursuing Navasota, Texas running back Dexter Pratt.
The 6-2, 220-pound Pratt visited Texas on Sunday for their first junior day and he came away with a scholarship offer.
"The visit went good," Pratt said. "We toured the campus and we sat down with the coaches. They offered me a scholarship as a running back."
Although Pratt has listed the Longhorns as his leader in previous interviews, he backed off of those comments after the trip to Texas and indicated that he told the staff he doesn't plan on making a decision any time soon.
"I told them that I was going to go through the recruiting process. I told them I'm going to take my visits," Pratt said. "Everyone is pretty much the same right now. I'm going to go to a Junior Day at LSU on the 27th.
With Sunday's offer in hand, Pratt now holds offers from Texas, LSU, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, TCU and numerous others.
As a junior in 2007, Pratt rushed for 2,054 yards and 20 touchdowns, while averaging nearly 10 yards per carry.
