Smith has offers, but does he have a leader?
Another Florida quarterback on many radars is Mirimar's Eugene Smith. Smith has picked up over ten offers and a few more could be close to pulling the trigger. The Sunshine State signal caller talks recruiting right here.
"I think I am up to either 11 or 12 offers now," said Smith. "My most recent offer came from Boston College recently and I have offers from UM (Miami), Oregon, South Carolina, Vanderbilt, Wisconsin and some others too."
A couple of SEC schools visited Mirimar High School recently and Smith thinks they could be close to offering him.
"Florida and Georgia both came by about a week ago and they talked to my coach about me. They did not offer me then, but I think they are thinking about it. Some schools are waiting on me to take the SAT or ACT before offering."
Right now Smith is thinking too much about offers or favorites, he is just taking it all in.
"I am just focused on High School right now and I am very open-minded to recruiting," he said. "I don't have a leader or anything and I am not even planning to narrow my list down until after football season next year."
The 6-foot-2, 171-pound pro-style QB is thinking about his team first and recruiting second. He wants to do what it takes to make the team and himself better next season before anything else.
"This spring I am going to work hard and try to improve for next year. I know I am going to go to some camps with my teammates, so we can get better together and then I will probably go to some camps on my own to work on playing quarterback."
"I may take a few unofficial visits on my own when I have time, but I am not sure where yet."
