WVU finally finds shooting touch against Pirates
MORGANTOWN--For most of his first season at the helm, Bob Huggins' West Virginia University basketball team has found itself in a shooting slump. Against Seton Hall on Sunday, WVU finally got untracked, knocking down 11 3-pointers in its 89-68 win. Still, Huggins is convinced that his team's best shooting lies ahead as the stretch run commences.
"We shot the ball a little bit better today, but I still don't think we're shooting very well," Huggins opined after the game. "I didn't think Alex (Ruoff) shot the ball very well today for how Alex is capable of shooting the ball, and I think Joe (Alexander) could give us so much more. But we had a lot of guys come in and step up, and I think if they continue to do that, we'll start to see better results."
