Rookie Impact Players: No. 2 Corey Surrency

A large majority of Florida State's 2008 recruiting class arrived on campus a couple weeks ago. Many of these rookie players won't have much time to get acclimated to college life and will be counted on to contribute immediately. Fortunately, for FSU there are some talented newcomers that are capable of jumping right in the mix. Based on voting from the staff at Warchant.com and Osceola, we will count down the top six impact newcomers for the upcoming season.

Class this fall: True Junior (three to play two)

Recruiting Ranking: Four-star per Rivals.com, (#9 overall in JUCO, #2 WR).

JUCO Stats: Recorded 30 receptions for more than 670 yards last season. In 2006, had 23 catches for 432 yards and three touchdowns.

JUCO Accolades: PrepStar Junior College All-American.

40-yard dash: 4.45 seconds (reported)

Notable: Discovered by a coach at El Camino CC while he was playing on a flag football team. Originally committed to Colorado before switching his commitment to FSU. Nickname is "Smurf". Delayed his enrollment at FSU because his mother recently passed away.
