ASI Insider: Pressley to be thrown into the fire

The Seminole coaches and fans are hoping the long wait is worth it.

After waiting several weeks to find out whether Tavares Pressley, a top rated junior college running back, had achieved the necessary grade in a summer course, Seminole nation had to wait for what seemed like an eternity to find out whether he would be cleared to join the football team. Then finally on Monday afternoon, 12 days after the team officially reported, word came down that the JUCO All-American was admitted to the university and cleared to join the team.

"I am glad he is here," running backs coach Dexter Carter said. "The quicker he is here the more we can get him acclimated and the better chance of him making an impact. So we wanted to get him out here listening to the plays and seeing the plays on the field, so it was a good thing. He got a chance to run around a little bit. I still see what I saw when we looked at him the first time. He has some ability."
