Russell remains committed to Mississippi State

With rumors swirling about recruits departing from Mississippi State after an early season slump, Tyler Russell was happy to set the record straight.

The talented three-star quarterback from Meridian, Miss., said his commitment to the Bulldogs remains intact and has not wavered.

"In April I decided I wanted to go to Mississippi State," Russell said. "A large part of that was Coach (Sylvester) Croom. I know that Coach Croom will make me in to a good athlete and a good man. I want to help build a program and I can do that at State."

In fact, Russell even had a message to send to the Bulldog faihful.

"We're going to get better," Russell said. "I can't wait to get up there and do my part in helping us win."

Russell said he has been in constant communication with the coaching staff and has been at both of the Bulldogs games this season.
