Wake Forest-FSU: Preview, Analysis & Prediction


After two warm-up games against Division II weaklings, the real season starts this Saturday for Florida State.



Call it fate or irony, but the same team that handed Bobby Bowden his worst ever home loss, the end result of which was an overhaul of the coaching staff, returns to Doak Campbell Stadium at a time when FSU is trying reestablish itself as a legitimate top 25 program.



After winning 14 straight over Wake Forest, Jim Grobe's team beat the Seminoles like drum in 2006 and left Tallahassee with a 30-0 win and bragging rights. In 2007, FSU traveled to Winston-Salem but blew a second half lead, and from there lost 5 of its final 8 games. With the memories of the last two years fueling them, it's not a surprise that the Seminole players are fired up to get a shot at the Demon Deacons at home in a nationally televised game.
