Tate sets sights on six schools

One official visit is behind Donavan Tate and four more will take place before he decides on who he will sign with in February. The Rivals250 athlete had four visits set and two teams are battling for his fifth one.

"I visited USC a couple of weeks ago and I had a good time out there, but I stayed home this past weekend," said Tate.

At one time, it was thought that he would visit Michigan over the weekend, but that visit will take place next month.

"I will be visiting Michigan when they play Northwestern (November 15) and I also have visits set up to Alabama and North Carolina. I will visit North Carolina when they play N.C. State (November 22) and Alabama when they play Auburn (November 29)."

One visit is behind him and three are set, so what about his fifth and final official visit? Two SEC schools that just played over the weekend are in the running for that one.

"It will be Georgia or LSU," the numbe4 104 rated prospect in the country stated. "I am not sure which one I will visit yet, but it will be one of those two for sure. Whichever one I do not visit officially does not mean they are eliminated either, I will still be looking at both."

The six schools of Southern Cal, Michigan, North Carolina, Alabama, LSU, and Georgia are the only schools remaining on Tate's list. He will be signing a football scholarship with one of those six come February 2009.

"It is definitely going to be one of those six schools for me. Those schools know I am looking at them and I have narrowed it down to those six. They are my definite final six."
