Nwachukwu discusses Trinity, commitment status

Allen wide receiver Uzoma Nwachukwu finds himself in familiar territory this weekend. His team is 12-1 with and ranked No. 9 nationally in the RivalsHigh100. The only problem is, their opponent this week sits atop that very same list.

Allen has a rematch with Euless Trinity at 4:00 p.m. Saturday at Texas Stadium in the Class 5A-Division I playoffs. The Trojans are the lone team to have defeated the Eagles this season, a 24-14 contest in the fourth week of the season. However, Nwachukwu says he is finally recovered from a high ankle sprain that has kept him out or limited his participation almost his entire senior season.

"I feel like I'm pretty much back to full strength," said the 6-foot-1, 190-pound four-star prospect. "You know, I've gotten involved a little bit more in the offense each week, so I think I'm back to full strength."

In the past two playoff games, Nwachukwu has scored four touchdowns. Two of them have been receiving and two rushing. He says that it is by design that he is getting the ball in a variety of different ways.
