Bruins tender offer to athlete

The Bruins are searching high in low for athletic football players who bring a lot of versatility to the table and they found another one. There newest offer is to an off the chart athlete who primarily plays quarterback on the high school level because of his athleticism, but will more than likely play another position when he hits the college circuit. He also plays some wide receiver, when needed.

The player who received his UCLA offer today is Barry Bostic (5-10, 160, 4.48) from Louisville (Ga.) Jefferson County.

The Bruins join Maryland, Kentucky, Mississippi State and Georgia Tech as schools that have offered scholies.

"I feel good that UCLA is looking at me and that they offered me from the other side of the country," Bostic said. "My coach called me and told me I had an email from Coach Todd Howard and it said they were going to offer me and that I should get my written offer in the mail next week."
