MORGANTOWN--Four years. That's how long Jarrett Brown waited for this spring without Pat White, where Brown enters Tuesday's practice No. 1 on the quarterback depth chart. Head coach Bill Stewart proclaimed the top spot as Brown's with simple and stern advice: "This is your baby, take care of it" as he handed the senior a symbolic game ball.

The West Palm Beach, Fla., product has been inconsistent in spotty appearances. WVU has not lost a game when Brown enters at QB with a lead. He is 2-for-2 when starting. Last year's 17-6 win over Syracuse represents the mortal Brown, who tallied just 52 yards on 20 passing attempts .He was playing with an injured left (non-throwing) shoulder.
