SoCal athlete gets job done

Greg Watson (5-11, 190, 4.5) from Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., plays quarterback on the high school level and he's a very good one, but he is currently getting recruiting attention as an athlete.

Watson is an outstanding leader and is one of the main reasons his team ended up winning its Section CIF Championship.

The talented athlete earned League Player of the Year, Area Player of the Year, CIF Player of the Year and all-state after passing for 2,506 yards and 18 touchdowns. He also added 859 yards and 11 touchdowns on the ground. His total offense yards of 3,365 yards was the second most in the state.

Besides playing quarterback, Watson will be adding free safety to his list of duties this fall.

On the recruiting trail, Watson is getting serious recruiting attention from Oregon, UCLA, Washington and UNLV.
