Kevin Prince having a good spring
What a difference a year makes. The difference in the performance of the offense from last fall, to now, is quite apparent. Redshirt freshman quarterback Kevin Prince is one of the reasons that the offense is showing signs of life this spring.
If not for a coaching change, Prince may have never been a Bruin as he was committed to Washington and now he appears to be the leading candidate for the starting job.
Prince sat out the last third of Tuesday's practice, but he is expected back by tonight's practice.
BruinBlitz.com: Kevin there has been a lot of growth in your game from last season to now. You are really doing a nice job out there. What do you credit for your growth?
Prince: "Well thank you first of all. I think that definitely being the offense for a year, has not only helped me, but everybody around so when we go out there and make plays, it's not just because I have grown, but the offense has grown as a whole.
"I feel that the offensive line is doing a great job so far. The receivers know where they are supposed to be and there is no confusion on where they are on most of their shifts and routes.
"I feel it is just a combination of the whole thing. We are all coming together and starting to understand the offense. It is the first time in awhile that we have had the same offense going into two consecutive seasons so think that it is just a combination of all of us being more comfortable."
