Clay taking a good look at the Ducks

Scripps Ranch running back Brennan Clay is getting attention from schools across the country. The Rivals250 standout has offers from coast-to-coast. One of the west coast schools highly interested in Clay is Oregon, so Duck Sports Authority caught up with Clay to get the latest.

"I am being recruited by most of the Pac-10," stated Clay. "I have written offers from, Cal, Michigan, Stanford, Baylor, Wisconsin, Duke, UConn, and San Diego State. It shows hard work pays off."

For the time being, Clay is doing his homework on the various options.

"I am looking at the depth chart of all the schools," Clay said. "I am looking at all the running backs, and looking to see how many years they have left."

For the Oregon Ducks, defensive backs coach John Neal is leading the recruitment of the San Diego area star.

"I'm pretty confident in Coach Neal," said Clay. "I have talked to him a couple of times this month and I'm getting a personal relationship with him. He is a great guy. He is genuine. He has a cheeky smile. I am following up with Coach Neal. I really want to commit to Oregon."
