Stewart confident in Brown

An upbeat Bill Stewart took a minute of his regularly scheduled time allotment on the Big East conference call Monday to praise quarterback Jarrett Brown.

Brown, starting his fifth career game, threw four interceptions in Saturday's 41-30 loss at Auburn and fumbled the ball once.

Those five miscues, which Stewart said were caused by mental mistakes, offensive line breakdowns and a receiver or two running poor routes, indirectly led to 24 points by the Tigers.
