Adams entering NFL draft

Auburn's leading receiver will follow its Heisman-winning quarterback and Lombardi Award-winning defensive tackle to the NFL draft.

Junior Darvin Adams, who caught 52 passes for 963 yards and seven touchdowns in 2010, has elected to forgo his senior season and enter the NFL draft, the University confirmed.

Adams is the third underclassmen from Auburn to declare for the draft joining Cameron Newton and Nick Fairley.

As a sophomore in '09, Adams, from Kennesaw, Ga., set an Auburn single-season record for catches with 60. He also had 997 receiving yards, which were third-most in Auburn single-season history. His 10 touchdown catches that year were also third-most in a single season at Auburn.
