Receiver with offer thinking visits

It is so early in the recruiting process for Zach Bradshaw but six programs including Boston College have already offered the 2013 wide receiver from Damascus, Md., and he's planning some unofficial visits this fall.

"It was unexpected," Bradshaw said of his early offers.

"I only went to two camps this summer, I went to Michigan State and Virginia, but I got my first scholarship in the spring from Boston College and then nothing really happened for a couple more months and then they started to gradually come in. It wasn't like all at once."

Boston College was the first to offer Bradshaw, a 6-foot-3, 205-pound prospect, who also has Georgia Tech, Maryland, N.C. State, Rutgers and West Virginia on his offer list. Many other programs are already showing interest.

The Eagles jumped out early on Bradshaw but since the coaching staff cannot do much recruiting yet with the rising junior communication has been limited.

"They haven't been talking to me a lot," Bradshaw said. "I've only had communication with them through my coaches."

This fall Bradhsaw, who had about 30 receptions for 400 yards and eight touchdowns in his sophomore season, said he's planning to attend the Miami-Maryland and West Virginia-LSU games along with a game at Virginia. A trip to Boston College might also be possible.

But since it's so early Bradshaw doesn't think he'll make his commitment until the start of his senior season - about a year away.

"I probably won't make a decision for a year I guess," Bradshaw said.

"I'd probably want to do it before my senior season but I don't know yet. I'm going to try to hit as many games as I can this fall."
