  • Michael Snaer: Snaer had 12 points as he shot 2 of 5 from behind the arc. He also added four rebounds and two steals.

    Free throw woes

Despite recording his fifth double-double of the season Bernard James was still not pleased with his performance after Sunday's game.

That's because the 6-foot-10, 240-pound senior made just 3 of his 12 free throw attempts.

"Really frustrated with that," he said of his free throw shooting. "Yesterday I was shooting free throws and I had three different sets where I hit 20 in a row. Then I come out and I shoot 3 for 12. It's super frustrating. All I can do is keep working on it and try to find that same comfort zone when I get out there in the game as I do when I'm in practice."

s As a team FSU shot just 48.1 percent (13-27) from the line on Sunday.

"It's amazing that we shoot as well as we do in practice and can't transfer it to the game," Hamilton said of the free throw shooting. "I think it's just a matter of time. I'm glad to see Bernard get to the line 12 times. It means we're getting the ball inside."

    Second chance points

While FSU struggled at the line it didn't struggle along the offensive glass. The Seminoles recorded 21 offensive rebounds and had 25 second-chance points.

"We've been challenging our guys to be consistent with that," Hamilton said of the offensive rebounds. "We're a big strong athletic team but we have a tendency on the offensive boards, if a guy turns to execute that fundamental boxing out we accept that. You don't have to accept that. You can spin right, you can spin left-- but today I actually thought the difference was we actually went to the offensive boards aggressiveness before they had an opportunity to box us out."

James and Okaro White led the way with six offensive rebounds apiece.

    Next up
