Five Broncos to play in Senior Bowl today

BOISE, Idaho - A record five Boise State football players will be suited up this Saturday (Jan. 28) when the annual Senior Bowl kicks off at 2:00 pm (MT). The NFL Network will broadcast the game live from Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Ala.

Safety George Iloka, running back Doug Martin, quarterback Kellen Moore, defensive end Shea McClellin and defensive tackle Billy Winn will play for the North team which is being coached by Minnesota Viking's head coach Leslie Frazier and his staff.

Prior to this year's game a total of only five former Bronco players had ever participated in the game, with the highest number for one game at two.

Offensive tackle Matt Hill was the first Bronco to play in the game following the 2001 season. Offensive guard Daryn Colledge and defensive back Kyle Wilson played in the all-star game following the 2005 and 2009 seasons, respectively

Last year's game marked the first time multiple Boise State players were selected for the game when wide receivers Austin Pettis and Titus Young competed for the North squad.

All five former Broncos went on to be drafted in the NFL. Hill was a fifth round pick of the Seattle Seahawks; Colledge a second round draft choice by the Green Bay Packers; Wilson went in the first round to the New York Jets; Pettis was a third round selection by the St. Louis Rams; and Young went in the second round to the Detroit Lions.

Hill played two years in the NFL (2002 and 2003), while the other four former Broncos are still competing in the NFL. Wilson, Pettis and Young are with their original teams, while Colledge now plays for the Arizona Cardinals after helping the Packers to last year's Super Bowl title.

This year's NFL Draft will be held April 27 and 28 (Friday and Saturday) in New York City.
