    Transcript Highlights:

    Opening comments:

Very proud of the way they practiced this week. Looked good, bounced around in terms of assignments, technique things, a lot of fundamental work, very pleased.

    On ball security:

We did ball security, blitz pickup. Lot of ball security, a lot of tackling on defense, a lot of blocking, angles and space on offense and a lot of blitz checks and different formations.

    On the cold:

Put some ice blowers out here or something. That's just a mindset, cold is in your head.

    On Brandon Jenkins:

No, we haven't talked. We'll wait until after the season. They have to see how he heals and those type things. No speculation on that one way or the other.

    On Jenkins' healing process:

Doing very well, healing very well, right on schedule. He can walk and do those things, they said it's healing perfectly.

    On the offensive tackles:

They're really playing well, you don't hear about them. When a lineman is good, you don't hear about him. We're able to run and pass and get protection. They're evolving into what we thought they would be.

On EJ watching them on film:

You do because what we do out here everyday and you have to get it out. And they block our guys. And our guys occasionally beat them, but it's very even across all phases. That's good because it makes us play fast.

    On Cam Erving:

I think he did (struggle some at the beginning). From a standpoint of putting pressure on himself and he's such a conscientious kid and he never wants to let anybody down. I think from a standpoint of putting too much pressure on himself and not just relaxing and playing.

    On Menelik Watson:

He's a very natural at what he does and instinctive. Sometimes you say things and assume he knows football lingo and you just got to make sure you explain. But if you didn't say and just did it, he'd do it naturally. It's amazing.

    On the O-Line:

It's one of our big keys. That group had made a significant jump in how we function and play.
