Rivals100 DT Nnadi is a 'Nole

Going all the way back to the Rivals five-star challenge in Chicago last summer, Rivals100 defensive tackle Derrick Nnadi had a special feeling about Florida State. His recruitment seemed to come down to if the rest of the family was on board with the Seminoles. That answer was resounding yes on Wednesday morning when Nnadi picked Florida State over Virginia, Virginia Tech and Ohio State.

The weekend of January 17 was a key moment in the recruitment of Ocean Lakes, Va. star when he made his official visit to Florida State. He followed through on all of his visits and in the end went with the school that he felt the most comfort with and that was Florida State.

Nnadi should have an opportunity for some early playing time with senior Jacobbi McDaniel graduating and even more important, Tim Jernigan leaving early for the NFL draft. The Rivals100 member saw a good opportunity to join the Florida State defense and keep that legacy of top defensive lineman going. Also, being a part of one of the most talented defenses in the country was a big attraction.

The 6-foot-1, 299 pound Nnadi is the nation's No. 4 ranked defensive tackle, No. 81 ranked in the country and No. 5 in the state.
