Florida State has been hoping to add on a second quarterback commitment to the 2015 recruiting class to join De'Andre Johnson - On Thursday it got its second and third.

Before Thursday two four-star signal-callers were on FSU's short list of contenders - Kai Locksley and Deondre Francois. Locksley, from Baltimore, Md, recently narrowed his list to Florida State, Texas and Maryland, with the Seminoles and Longhorns well out in front. On Thursday, he narrowed that list to one picking the Seminoles just minutes before Francois announced his decision.

"The opportunity that Florida State has to offer right now is just is one in a million," Locksley told Warchant.com. "They really have things rolling - the class ahead of me, my class - they are going to be good for a long, long time. It's something I want to be part of and help continue. I know from a development standpoint I'm not a finished product, not even close, and I think the school down there can get me right and help my aspirations for the NFL."

Locksley, the No. 12 ranked dual-threat quarterback, had amassed over 20 scholarship offers. He last visited FSU in June and took part in the Jimbo Fisher Football Camp where he said he formed a tighter bond with the players and coaching staff.

"Just the comfort level is so easy," Locksley told Warchant.com back in June about his unofficial visit. "It's such a family oriented place every time I come here. Fun loving conversations, but they also get work done," he said. "I have a really great relationship with Coach Fisher. We talk a lot. He's such an easy guy to listen and talk with. He's very approachable. He's a great guy to learn from."

The 6-foot-4, 185-pound quarterback is ranked as the No. 7 overall player in the state of Maryland.

During his junior season, Locksley completed 55 percent of his passes for 950 yards and six touchdowns. He added 850 rushing yards.
