4-star DE Trevion Williams recaps FSU official visit, surprise commitment

According to Williams, his confidence and faith in Florida State’s program took a huge leap when he visited earlier this month.

“The visit was cool when I first got here on June 5th,” the Rivals250 member said. “I felt like it was home for the start.”

Heading into his official visit with FSU from Thursday through Saturday, Williams was still open in his recruitment. But once he made it to Tallahassee, he knew it was time to finally jump on board.

“I really didn’t know that I was going to commit here until this past weekend,” Williams said. “I felt the love and I thought, ‘Why not?’ This is the only place that I felt like I could really just fit in.”

Williams said that while every program talks the talk when it comes to encouraging a family environment, he actually saw FSU walk the walk this month. He felt that strong family feeling during both of his visits.

“It wasn’t anything that they necessarily did, it was just the energy. The vibes, and how everybody is just one big family,” Williams said. “You can actually see that. Some people just say it, but you can actually see it with them.”
