The Florida State men's basketball team picked up another huge commitment on the recruiting trail Monday morning as five-star forward Scottie Barnes announces he will sign with the Seminoles.

Barnes is rated the nation's No. 1 power forward and the No. 9 prospect in the country.

The Seminoles are coming off of back-to-back NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 appearances and now have four commitments for the Class of 2020 -- Barnes, four-star prospects Malachi WIdeman and Sardaar Calhoun and three-star Zimife Nwokeji.

If Barnes signs with the Seminoles as expected, that will give Leonard Hamilton and his staff at least one five-star prospect in five of their last six signing classes. The earlier ones were Dwayne Bacon in 2015, Jonathan Isaac (2016), M.J. Walker (2017) and Patrick Williams (2019).
