There was a lot for Kennedale (Texas) five-star LB Baron Browning to see during his official visit to FSU this weekend, and it appears the 'Noles made a strong impression on the nation's No. 1 outside linebacker.

Browning, who was hosted by fellow Texas product Dontavious Jackson, spoke with Warchant.com on Sunday about the trip.

"I had a great time on the visit," Browning said. "D-Jack was my host. I had a really good time. We know each other from back home, so it was a time to catch up. I would say the atmosphere really stood out to me for the visit."

Browning was accompanied by his mother for the trip, which was why he wanted this to be his official visit -- so she could get a good look at things too. It was also important to get a vibe from the FSU players on the visit.

"All the players were really cool and together and fun to be around," he said. "They just backed up what the coaches have been telling me about FSU. Me and my Mom liked it and had a really good time."

Obviously, the major highlight of the official visit was Florida State's big game against No. 3 Clemson. And even though FSU fell late in the final minutes, Browning said that didn't take away from the experience.
