While plenty of sports fans flocked to Las Vegas for the Super Bowl on Sunday, a large chunk of the recruiting world flocked to Orlando to take in the first camp of the Under Armor Next Camp Series.
These yearly camps not only allow high school and middle schools athletes to undergo instruction by retired professionals but also offer evaluation by the All-American Selection committee. Throughout the next six months, the series will travel across the country — including stops in Florida, Texas, Georgia, Tennessee, California, Washington, Ohio, New Jersey, North Carolina, Maryland, Utah and Hawaii.
Multiple Florida State commits and high priority targets attended the camp in Orlando on Sunday afternoon. Quarterback commit Tramell Jones took home MVP honors on the day for the quarterback group.
Another Florida State commit to impress was four-star offensive lineman Solomon Thomas. Thomas appeared dominant in his reps at times, including a solid rep against another Florida State target in Tallahassee (Fla.) Rickards defensive end and Florida commit Jalen Wiggins. Thomas ended the day with an invite to the 2025 Under Armor All-American game, as did Wiggins.
Orlando Sanford LB and Florida State commit Ethan Pritchard also attended. The highlight of his afternoon came in 1-on-1 pass coverage as he displayed great lateral quickness to disrupt a ball on a wheel route.
Riverview Sumner tackle prospect and Florida State target Ziyare Addison took home MVP honors for the offensive line group.
Here you can see Addison and Thomas going through warmups before taking the field. Addison will be visiting Florida State for spring practices as he narrows down his recruitment.
Other targets that flashed on Sunday include Jones four-star WR Vernell Brown III, Sanford three-star tackle Max Buchanan and Jacksonville Mandarin four-star DB Hylton Stubbs.
As far as the 2026 class is concerned, Vero Beach tackle Micah Smith also impressed in 1-on-1 drills. The Seminoles are one of the early leaders in his recruitment.
The Under Armor Camps now head to Atlanta on Feb. 18 before heading down to Miami on March 3. At both stops, you can expect Florida State targets to showcase their talents against some of their respective states top talent.
