Capitalizing on the momentum from their run to the Elite 8 of the NCAA men's basketball tournament, the Florida State Seminoles landed a commitment from one of the nation's top prospects on Saturday.
Charlotte, N.C., forward Patrick Williams, who is rated the country's No. 8 small forward and No. 38 prospect overall, chose the Seminoles over more than 30 other offers, including Arizona, Florida, Maryland, Ohio State, Texas and Virginia.
Williams becomes the third commitment of the Seminoles' 2019 class, which is expected to feature five or six signees.
