Things continue to be active on the recruiting front for Florida State despite most of the focus from the coaching staff being on Georgia Tech preparation. The Seminoles extended offers to three four-star offensive linemen from the class of 2026 over the last six days.
This past weekend, Zykie Helton from Carrollton (Ga.) High was offered by the Seminoles. On Monday, Malcolm Gaston from Mccormick (SC) High was offered, followed by an offer going out to Carter Scruggs from Loudoun County (Va.) High on Tuesday.
Helton originally committed Alabama but opened back up his recruitment in March. He is rated as the top center prospect in the class of 2026. We saw Helton earlier this year at the Rivals camp and he is very good prospect who started off playing defensive tackle in high school before moving to center. Helton also has offers from Georgia, Auburn. Penn State, Texas A&M and West Virginia. His last reported unofficial visit was to Georgia.

Gaston is just starting to gain attention on the recruiting front with Florida State being his second P4 offer. Georgia offered Gaston in June.

Scruggs' recruitment started taking off at the first of year. He is rated as the 16th best offensive tackle prospect in the 2026 class. Since January he has picked up offers from Pitt, Penn State, West Virginia, NC State, Alabama, Syracuse, Georgia, Missouri, Oregon, Michigan State, Clemson, North Carolina, South Carolina and Michigan.
Scruggs has also taken unofficial visits to Michigan, Penn State (twice), Notre Dame (twice) Virginia Tech and Alabama.
