FSU football players to lead Unity Walk for campus, community on Saturday

Following a trend that has been taking places on campuses across the country, Florida State's football players will lead a Unity Walk with members of the campus and Tallahassee communities on Saturday afternoon.

According to a media release from FSU, the walk will begin at 2 p.m. at the Unconquered statue on Langford Green, to the south side of Doak Campbell Stadium. It will conclude at the state Capitol.

"The health of student-athletes, participants and the media is a paramount concern and all participants and media members are expected to wear masks and observe social distancing at all times," according to the release.

Clemson, Texas A&M and other football programs around the country have either held or scheduled similar events in the wake of the racial unrest following the killing of George Floyd by Minneapolis police.
