Valdosta (Ga.) Lowndes offensive tackle Jalen Goss wasn't quite sure how the recruiting process was going to shake out for him.

The three-star prospect was especially concerned after learning his main recruiter, former Michigan assistant coach Greg Frey, left the Wolverines to take over the offensive line at Florida State.

It turns out it worked out really well, as Goss announced Monday that he has committed to the Seminoles.

Goss received an offer from Florida State shortly after Frey joined the staff.

Goss, who earlier had Michigan as his leader, said he really got excited about Florida State once he learned more about the program and how he'd be used.

He also enjoyed visiting the campus and spending time with the Seminoles' players, including good friend and FSU fullback Gabe Nabers.

Goss becomes the 12th commitment in the 2018 class for the 'Noles. He's also the third commitment on the offensive line, joining Christian Meadows and Christian Armstrong.

Goss is the latest in a long line of Lowndes products to choose the 'Noles, including Telvin Smith, Greg Reid and Tyler Hunter.
