On Monday morning, Florida State added a fifth commitment to its 2013 recruiting class.
Booker T. Washington DB Michael Johnson hinted for quite some time that if the Florida State Seminoles offered, it would be hard to pass that offer up.
On Friday, he was extended an offer by his main recruiter, FSU assistant coach James Coley.
True to his word, Johnson didn't take long to pull the trigger. He called the Seminole coaching staff Monday morning to let them know he is ready to be a Seminole.
"I just committed to Florida State. Just called Coach Coley," said Johnson. "I love everything about FSU and have for a long time. Coach Coley is from this area so I know as a player I can trust him."
Johnson can play either corner or safety at 5-foot-11 and 175 pounds, although he mainly plays safety for the Tornadoes. Johnson should fit in well with the FSU defense, especially with their need for safeties coming into this season. Coley is his main recruiter and made the strong difference in this recruitment.
