Tatum ran for 1,889 yards on 227 carries and scored 33 rushing touchdowns in 2022. He also hauled in 12 passes from 160 yards and three scores.

First Impressions of Tatum's HUDL highlights: "One of the first things that pops out at you is that he breaks a lot of long runs and is fast enough to outrun defenders who look to have the angle. He has very quick vision, balance and change of direction. He is not afraid to run behind his pads and try to run through defenders. Another thing that stands out is the production he has running the ball in a pro-style I-formation offense. Teams know he is going to get the ball and they still can't slow him down. Tatum also shows very good hands and athleticism as a pass catcher."
