Warchant.com first reported that St. Thomas Aquinas wide receiver Richard Goodman was headed to Florida State on Sunday afternoon. However, before officially saying he was signed, sealed and delivered, the three-star wideout wanted to mull things over a little longer. He did so on Monday and went on record with his commitment to the Seminoles.
"I'm going to Florida State," Goodman told Warchant.com. "I just felt real comfortable with them. I had a great time and it felt like it was the place for me."
Before Florida State officially offered a scholarship last week, it looked like the 6-foot, 175-pound speedster might be headed to Auburn or N.C. State but the opportunity to play in his home state for a major football powerhouse was too much to pass up.

"That had a lot to do with it," Goodman said. "There's nothing like playing in your own backyard."
With Goodman's commitment, Florida State is probably hoping to start a pipeline to St. Thomas Aquinas. Next year teammate Sam Young, 6-foot-8, 290-pound tackle, will be one of the top offensive line prospects in the nation.
Goodman had a big senior season with 41 receptions for 524 yards and seven touchdowns. He also returned 26 punts for 358 yards and two touchdowns, returned eight kicks for 269 yards and rushed six times for 44 yards and a touchdown.
He projects as a full qualifier with a 3.3 GPA
