Is it a two-team race for Marcus Walker

After signing prep All-American Antonio Cromartie last February Florida State is looking to bring in a lockdown cornerback to join him with the 2004 class. One of the top candidates is Waco's Marcus Walker. It has been a fierce battle for the four-star cornerback and from most accounts it's a five-team race between Arkansas, Florida State, LSU, Oklahoma and Texas A&M. However, recent rumors have surfaced that the Rivals100 member may have two favorites.
"You could say that," Walker said. "But I'm still way away from my decision."

Most insiders believe the Seminoles and Sooners currently hold the advantage but the Rivals100 member would not confirm or deny those rumors.
"I really don't want to say right now," Walker said. "After I get back from the (Army all-star) game I'm going to try to narrow it down to three."
The odds are pretty good that Florida State will be one of the three lucky schools. Walker grew up a big fan and his feelings about the Seminoles only grew stronger after a recent in-home visit from head coach Bobby Bowden and assistant coach Kevin Steele.
In addition to meeting with coach Bowden and coach Steele at his school and in his home, he recently got a call from Seminole commitment Drew Weatherford. The two met during his official visit to FSU back in November and got along well.
Texas' top defensive back hopes to base his final decision on objective factors but is having a difficult time putting aside his childhood dream of playing for the Seminoles.
"I try not to let it get in the way but I don't know," Walker admitted. "It's kind of hard not to let it get in the way since I've liked Florida State since I can remember watching football. It's tough. I have to weigh a whole lot of things, look at a lot of things and hopefully I'll make the right decision.
Walker will represent the west squad in the January 3rd U.S. Army All-American Bowl.
