Florida State has lost three more players to injury this spring, coach Mike Norvell announced on Thursday.
Second-year Harvard offensive line transfer Jacob Rizy and UNC LB Caleb LaVallee will miss the rest of spring, but Norvell said he expects them back by summer.
Rizy played in 11 games, starting five, in his first season at FSU in 2024. The Harvard transfer started his final five games at different spots, filling in at left guard at Miami, center vs. North Carolina and then right guard against Notre Dame, Charleston Southern and Florida. He made 20 starts in his Harvard career.
Caleb LaVallee transferred from UNC after a bowl game in which he had nine tackles against UConn in his first college start. The linebacker played in 15 games over two seasons and had 14 tackles in 2024.
Defensive tackle Daniel Lyons had 25 tackles, 5 TFLs and three sacks in 2024.
Norvell said none of the players will be impacted this summer as they prepare for the season.
Previous Seminoles who have been announced as out for the season are defensive lineman Jayson Jenkins and defensive backs Shyheim Brown, Conrad Hussey and Edwin Joseph.
FSU has completed five practices and will hold its first spring scrimmage on Saturday at the indoor practice facility.
