Quarterback Deondre Francois has done an outstanding job of directing the Seminole offense in 2016. Through the first six games, the redshirt freshman has completed 63 percent of his pass attempts for an average of 260 yards a game. He has also done a solid job of protecting the football with nine touchdown passes and just two interceptions. Veteran receivers Travis Rudolph and Bobo Wilson have combined for 48 receptions, 647 yards and four touchdowns. Running back Dalvin Cook is also a major target for Francois, and he is second on the team in receptions (20) and receiving yards (345).
Despite a 5-1 record, Wake Forest has given up huge numbers against the pass this season, ranking No. 93 in pass defense. In week four, Indiana threw for 496 yards and three touchdowns. Duke and N.C. State also threw for well over 300 yards against the Deacons' defense.
MATCHUP: When given decent protection, Francois has preformed well and is more than capable of moving the offense. Florida State also boasts a veteran and deep receiving unit and an explosive running back, who should have no difficulties getting open against a below-average secondary.
WINNER: FLORIDA STATE
