Mincey is a Seminole

There have been rumors and even a premature report but this time it appears Charlton County standout Justin Mincey has actually committed to Florida State. In fact, he said the magic words after getting an in-home visit from defensive line coach Odell Haggins Sunday afternoon.

"He's going to Florida State," Mincey's father told Warchant.com.
The Rivals100 member visited FSU unofficially back on November 20th. At that time the 6-foot-5, 250-pound defensive end was on the verge of making a commitment but never did pull the trigger contrary to an erroneous report. However, after having time to reflect on his visit and after meet one-on-one with coach Haggins, Mincey made the final decision to commit to the Seminoles over schools like Georgia, LSU, Miami and Tennessee.
Mincey is rated by Rivals.com as the No. 4 strong-side defensive end and is the No. 3 overall prospect in Georgia. As a junior, Mincey recorded nine quarterback sacks and 89 tackles. He posted similar stats in his senior season and his Charlton County team just won a state championship last weekend by defeating Buford 35-20.
Mincey reports having a 3.0 GPA and will take the next SAT that is offered.
