New Jersey OL is commitment No. 11 for FSU
Florida State's banquet weekend recruiting success struck again on Monday. Matawan, New Jersey (Matawan High School) offensive tackle Anthony Grosso wasted no time making a decision after returning home from his official visit.
"It was yesterday," Grosso said. "Just a little bit after the official I called Coach Bowden to let him know."

Grosso, who says he is now 6-foot-6, 290-pounds and benches 435 pounds, committed to the 'Noles publicly on Monday after talking to his parents and coach about his decision. As he explained to Warchant.com, there were some compelling reasons for for his decision to select the Seminoles.
"I just felt like it was the place for me," Grosso said. "I fit in really well down there. I like Coach Trickett, Coach Fisher, and definitely Coach Bowden. I look forward to working hard for them and bringing home some championships."
His commitment marks the first for new offensive line coach Rick Trickett and he shows what the future may hold for the 'Noles' offensive line.
"He goes for a different kind than a lot of other people," Grosso said. "Hopefully I fit the bill down there and I feel that I do. Coach Trickett is a phenomenal coach and he is going to do whatever it takes to make me the best player I can be."
The two-star lineman also had offers from Northwestern, who he was committed to, as well as Purdue, Rutgers, Temple, Duke, Cincinnati and Vanderbilt. However, at the end of the day he said it was an easy decision to choose Florida State.
"The people down there were just amazing," Grosso said. "Everybody has great facilities and stadiums, but the people at Florida State are second to none and I cannot wait to go down there and get to work for them."
The talented offensive lineman not only excels on the football field but also in the classroom. He is fully qualified for college.
