The Florida State Seminoles' recruiting class for 2018 only got stronger as OL/DL Christian Meadows from Montezuma (Ga.) announced Friday his commitment to the Seminoles. The decision comes after a very strong FSU camp, where he excelled on the offensive side of the ball. It's likely he'll end up as a guard for FSU.

The fact that the 'Noles landed Meadows shouldn't be a major surprise since he grew up a fan of them and he developed a quick bond with FSU offensive line coach Rick Trickett. Meadows seemed to connect immediately with Trickett.

"I had a great time working with Coach Trickett. He's always going to make you better, so I felt comfortable with his coaching. He helped me out a lot," Meadows said.

Meadows becomes the sixth commitment in the 2018 class for the 'Noles.

Following that Fisher camp in June, it was pretty clear the 'Noles were sitting in a good spot, and Meadows talked more about why he picked Florida State and what separated them from other schools.

"When I was there it felt like family and I loved the atmosphere there," Meadows said. "Coach Trickett is one of the best offensive line coaches in the country, so I know he's going to help me become a great offensive lineman. So why not be a part of the family?"

FSU assistant coach Odell Haggins was his main recruiter, and Meadows becomes the second commitment in the 2018 class from the state of Georgia.

"There's a lot of talent in the South Georgia area, and I'm going to do my part in making sure all the guys in this area know about FSU. I'm excited to be a part of the family," Meadows said.
