Veteran offensive line coach Rick Trickett will not remain on Florida State's staff under new head coach Willie Taggart, a source close to the team confirmed to Warchant on Friday afternoon.

Trickett has told his players the news but told them he will remain for the Independence Bowl against Southern Miss.

Trickett, who came to FSU with Jimbo Fisher and wide receivers coach Lawrence Dawsey in 2007, is the second coach to confirm his departure in as many days. Dawsey was notified on Thursday that he will not be the Seminoles' receivers coach next season.

Trickett has one more year remaining on a three-year contract that pays him $602,000 annually. Because former FSU coach Jimbo Fisher left for another job, he and/or Texas A&M will be responsible for that salary if Trickett does not take another coaching position.

There have been multiple reports out of Michigan that Wolverines OL coach Greg Frey, who played for the Seminoles, is expected to leave for FSU.
