On heels of Altmyer flip, where do things stand with FSU's other commits?

While Monday's news about four-star quarterback Luke Altmyer's decommitment from Florida State was not surprising, it still is a major blow to the Seminoles' 2021 recruiting class.

With that in mind, it's time to take a closer look at FSU's other 15 current commitments and evaluate where each one stands -- which ones also might be in jeopardy of flipping, which ones are completely solid, and which might fall in between.

OTHER FSU COMMITS THAT ARE A CONCERN AT THIS STAGE

The Skinny on OL Kimo Makaneole & FSU

As you likely read last week, Kimo Makaneole is getting a lot of interest from other programs. While it's true that several SEC schools are very much in the mix -- that list includes Ole Miss, Texas A&M and LSU -- the 'Noles do have some things working for them here.

First, FSU not only has been on Makaneole the longest, but he and his family also like the fact that Tallahassee is relatively close to their Niceville, Fla., home. The lineman also has a tremendous relationship with FSU OL coach Alex Atkins, and he sees a great opportunity for early playing time with the 'Noles. He also believes in Norvell's vision for the future.
