Out to prove hes Floridas best LB

Willie Williams of Carol City High School may be one best linebackers in Florida this year. At the Miami Nike Camp he measured in at 6-foot-2 and 225 pounds. Even with an injured ankle, he was clocked 40-yard dash at 4.42 seconds. Not only is Williams a top prospect on the football field, he is also a standout on the track team - he sports a 10.7 in 100-meter and also runs in the 200-meter and 4x100.
Last season for Mosignor Pace, Williams had 173 tackles, 10 quarterback sacks and 4 interceptions. His goal for this season is to rack up over 200 tackles, 15 sacks and 8 interceptions. If he is able to accomplish those goals, he will be one of the most coveted players in the country this year.

Aside from the Nike Camp, Williams plans on camping at Miami and Auburn this summer.
After just falling short of winning the MVP of the Miami Nike Camp, he is out to prove that he is the best linebacker in the country. Keith Rivers beat Williams out for those honors in April.
Even with his prototypical size and blazing speed, Williams is not ready to rest on his laurels.
"I want to get bigger and stronger, become one of the team leaders and have my play rub off on teammates", he said.
So who does this super star prospect like to pattern his game after?
"Ray Lewis, he is my favorite player and I like how aggressive he is on the football field," Williams said. "When I am on the field I like to hit the ball carrier so hard he won't want to come back into the game. That's the same way Lewis plays."
As you would expect major colleges from all over the country are interested in the first team all-state linebacker. Even with hundreds of letters and a handful of offers, Williams is still weighing his options. So far he has offers at this time from Miami, Florida, FSU and Auburn. At this time he lists his favorites as Miami, FSU, Florida, Ohio State and Auburn. Whatever school he picks, he would like to contribute right away, even if it means playing on special teams.
Here is what Williams had to say about some of his favorites:
Miami: "I like Miami because they have a winning tradition, their team plays with unity and I know some of their players."
Florida: "I liked the coaches; they told me that I can start if I came to UF."
FSU: "My sister attends Florida State and we are close, I also like the coaches a lot and they have a winning tradition."
Auburn: "I went to a camp at Auburn last year and the coaches treated me with respect. I love the campus, they have great facilities and Coach Eddie Grant and I got along really well."
Ohio State: "They impressed me by beating Miami in the Fiesta Bowl. I really liked the way they played defense in that game and can't wait to visit Ohio State."
