It's the first weekend without ball, but the FSU football team continues its progress this spring despite the finality of last week's Garnet and Gold Game.
Nearly a dozen scholarship players, flanked by their community and fellow students, headed one mile south of the cathedral they call home to the Elberta Empire neighborhood to help build a house for Habitat for Humanity.
"You know, it's all about the community and I just like giving back to the people," said rising senior defensive lineman Fred Jones.
