Pads off, but progress continues for Taggart's 'Noles
It's the first weekend without ball, but the FSU football team continues its progress this spring despite the finality of last week's Garnet and Gold Game.
Nearly a dozen scholarship players, flanked by their community and fellow students, headed one mile south of the cathedral they call home to the Elberta Empire neighborhood to help build a house for Habitat for Humanity.
"You know, it's all about the community and I just like giving back to the people," said rising senior defensive lineman Fred Jones.
